If monopoly utility Dominion Energy builds their gas plant megaproject on top of the retired coal plant in Colleton County, they’ll lock in massive methane climate pollution for the next 40 years, make gas go from ~30%  of their energy portfolio to ~60%, and spread a web of dangerous pipelines through private property, the ACE Basin, and the Edisto watershed.

But we’ve got plans to stop them including bringing our communities together for events like Rally for the Edisto and Against Pipelines. We joined a chorus of voices speaking out against this injustice to climate, land , and people.

We partnered with Sierra Club, Conservation Voters of South Carolina, Coastal Conservation League, and Edisto River Keepers to bring light to these odius plans by our monopoly energy utility.

These talks were followed by a river ride to show people the beauty of the Edisto River, and the potential harm this mega project will bring to the surrounding communities and ecosystems.
